Vista - update error 8024AFFF

I rec'd a 8024AFFF error when attempting to update:

Vista KB932246 and
Media Format 11 SDK KB929399 (These updates are on a new computer with
Vista Home Premium purchased about one month ago.)

(If the Media Format 11 SKD refers to the Sonic Driver issue, I already
'fixed' that by following instructions at a Dell computer site. I no longer
receive an error message re an incompatibility with the Vista and the Sonic
Driver.)

Well, this is getting strange. Instead of updating via the Windows Update
on my computer, I went to MS's site and updated one of the two updates
there.

I clearly see 'Successful' on my computer. If I go to use Windows Update on
my computer I continue to be told that KB932246 needs to be updated.

There is a very slight difference in my list for these 'two' updates which
really are the same. One states ...

Update for Windows (KB932246) ... successful ...and the other states:

Update for Windows Vista (KB932246) ... Failed

I'll wait for Windows to figure this out.
