| | Rage against Alt-Tab I really HATE the new Alt-tab stuff (shortcut for switching between applications). The default Aero interface really sucks as I often work using alt-tab whilst using mouse, and Aero also enables the mouse to select applications, thus disturbing my choice of application when I release alt-tab). I only found one way of disabling this annoying Alt-tab stuff, and it is by disabling the Aero interface. Well now you think I'm back to normal Alt-tab like it was in XP? Oh no! Still there are problems. If you have two windows active in an application, and you have another window active within it (like a search window in a text editor), alt tab seem to switch back to the application containing the search window, and not another application! It seem like it's not happening in notepad, but it happens in MS Word 2007 and many other apps! It's so annoying!! 1. Open word. 2. Open a search window 3. Press alt-tab and you are back in Word and not switching to another application! 4. pressing alt-tab again and you are moving to another app, and not back to the search window. What's logic about that? Please mr Microsoft. This must be fixed. :-) -- IT/MsC/ITAdm Engineering Services |

| | Re: Rage against Alt-Tab Alt | Tab appears to switch to the last used Windows. To me that is logical. If you want to switch to another app's Window you alt | tab twice. I see no problem with that. -- Regards, Richard Urban MVP Microsoft Windows Shell/User "HAL" <nospam@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:exQ%23UdhZHHA.1300@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >I really HATE the new Alt-tab stuff (shortcut for switching between >applications). It does not behave like XP, and it's not logic that it "tabs" from search to winword, and then tabs again NOT back to search, but to another app. -- IT/MsC/ITAdm Engineering Services |

I just booted up my other system and tried it. -- Regards, Richard Urban MVP Microsoft Windows Shell/User "HAL" <nospam@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:%23qvZt0nZHHA.588@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Richard Urban wrote: >> Alt | Tab appears to switch to the last used Windows.
