| | Common App Data Greetings, Is there a folder where I can store program settings and data that is 1. Not Public 2. Sharable by all users on the machine 3. Readable and writable by standard users and apps not running as administrator 4. Not hidden from the user 5. Sharable so that other users in a peer-to-peer network can work with the data In Vista, the API for getting special folder locations returns "C:\Program Data" when I pass in CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA. But the folder seems to be hidden from a standard user. Also, a standard user seems to be prohibited from writing to this location. Thanks in advance for any assistance. - will f |
