| | Sound problems since Vista upgrade Since I installed Vista Ultimate, I have been having problems with my sound, it was perfect with XP Pro but now sounds garbled and static like. I spent nearly 4 hours total with 3 different Microsoft techs and the last guy told me my speakers had a problem. I went out and blew fifty on new speakers and the problem still exists. I do not have a sound card but rather get the sound via my Intel DG965OT motherboard. If I can't find a fix for this then I guess it's back to XP. Anybody else had this problem? | | Re: Sound problems since Vista upgrade I should have added to my previous post that it's important to read all readme's, etc. to determine the appropriateness of the driver for your computer. The link I gave you is for Vista with a 32-bit operating system (versus 64-bit). Check Control Panel\System for your system type, if you don't know. Check Device Manager to determine whether or not you indeed have a Sigmatel driver for sound, the current version, etc. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
