How about doing a GOOGLE search on "Foxpro and Vista" and see what comes up

There is no support for 16-bit apps in Vista.

There's no truth to that... just for the heck of it I tried some old 16 bit
apps
and they worked fine
(of course that does not mean all old apps will work)

Re: ms dos foxpro 2.6a (X) will work ?

It is only 64 bit Vista that has no support for 16 bit. A 32 bit
application with a 16 bit installer will also not work on x64 Vista.

Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-)

Re: ms dos foxpro 2.6a (X) will work ?

The 16-bit MS-DOS subsystem will not support full screen mode..
I have an old game that won't play because of that.

The OP never asked about full screen
he just wanted to know if it would work

Re: ms dos foxpro 2.6a (X) will work ?

Hi!

I don't have personal experience with FPD and Vista but I found the
following in Julie Lehrman's blog:
http://www.thedatafarm.com/blog/2006...dFPW26Too.aspx

>>

FoxPro 2.5 DOS on Vista (and FPW26, too)
I just had to see! And it works. I can run my old FoxPro 2.5 DOS and FoxPro
2.6 Windows applications on Vista CTP 5270. I only started up the apps and
did a few functions. No thorough testing by any means. But I thought that
was pretty cool.
