| Guest | Wireless Internet I have just purched a new portable computer (Acer-Travelmate) and tryes to log on to our exsisting wireless internet. But it fails. The wireless internet is open (not protected), since we often have friends/family coming with their computers. Everyone can easly log on to the web, except this new computer. The only difference I can think of is the new Windows-Vista that the new computer has installed. I can se the wireless internet, but when I ask the computer to use it, Windows Wista tells me that it is unable to log on. And it tells me that it can´t tell me why. I have tryed everything I know about sharing files, configuring network and firewall, but nothing works. Why should Vista refuse to log on to a net, that EVERYONE ELSE just jumps right on. I don´t get it. |

| Guest | Re: Wireless Internet Seems, like I had that problem. Until I went in and setup the connection manually versus letting Vista just browse and connect to an open VPN. Have you added your network to the Preferred list of wireless networks ?
