Outlook 2000 Default Program/ Errors

I just install office 2000 and cannot get Vista to set Outlook 2000 as the
defualt e-mail program. I also get an error message every time it (Outlook)
opens that it needs IE5, then it goes to the set up screen. I have tried the
repair option, have all the updates and have even reinstalled it twice.
Growing tired of fighting.

Past posts have said that Outlook 2000 is not compatible with Vista. You
will need at least Outlook 2003.

You might also check with the newsgroup microsoft.public.outlook
