Ready Boost

I bought a PNY 1GB Attache, and Vista said it isn't compatible. Is it the
drive or is my USB pci card? I read on Crucial's site that their's works. I
got tired of trying to find info at PNY's.

RE: Ready Boost

Try formating the drive as FAT and re-testing. Also make sure the drive is
set to "optimize for performance" (you can check by looking under the drive
properties, select hardware, select the card you want to use, select
properties, select policies) then re-test.

Re: Ready Boost

You can check the speed by looking at the registry entries and see what it
was actually tested at. You can also change the values to make Windows use
it for ReadyBoost (force it to use it!).

Check the values for ReadSpeed and WriteSpeed at
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\EMDMgmt.

How to force: http://www.vistarip.com/e107_plugins....php?0.cat.4.7

Re: Ready Boost

That didn't work, and neither did NTFS...it must be the drive. Like it's the
first $30 I've wasted!
