how do i copy the vista disc?

I wish to make a backup copy of my Vista disc but I am unsure how to do
this.

Is it a case of just creating an ISO from it then burning the ISO?

Do I have to do anything to make it bootable or will it do that by itself?

Using Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.

Just select ' Copy CD/DVD/Blu-ray disk '.
If the source disk was bootable the target disk will be bootable.

Thanks Bomb, I will try that.
Any way of checking the integrity of the disc with a known hash number?

Thankyou Ray, if Ashampoo fails, I will try that one.

I have never bothered with that sort of thing.
There may be a check-box to tick to verify the burn in Ashampoo.
As well as burning a copy you could store an iso image on your hard disk as an extra backup.
I use UltraIso to back up cd/dvds as iso images.
