| | Re: Vista x86 support 4GB RAM dont waste yor time.. i have 4 gb kingstone ram ,asus p5b deluxe hifi, duo core 2.66 intel,nvidia 7900gtx and VISTA ULTIMATE!.. if remapping enabled in n motherboard setup , ram in vista shown as 2047 mb, if disabling remapping in bios setup, vista will show yr rams as if 3.007 mb.. and of course it si ridicule,, it is a big shame for microsoft.. they annonced and till now annonce taht all VISTAS support 4 gb rams and more!.. BUT in realty non!.. they took the mony of the users and now they accept that is a unsolving problem??? pls look their confession? but as a fair seller they must annonce this faillure all of the world..so they must try solve this software prablem.. best regards http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929605 |

| | Re: Vista x86 support 4GB RAM If you look at that knowledge base article you linked to, it clearly states that you must have an x64 (64-bit) version of Windows Vista installed in order to see all 4 GB of RAM. The reason 32-bit Windows Vista does not show all 4 GB of RAM is because other devices, like your video card for instance, require address space in order to function correctly.
