Start up menu

I am new to Windows Vista and just wondered if anyone could tell me why when
I click on the all programs button of the start up menu, some programs are
highlighted in orange. What does this mean?

RE: Start up menu

That means those programs are newly installed. Meaning you installed them
recently, or they been upgraded.

They had the same feature on XP.
