Sync center - deleting an active partnership

I recently used sync centre to synchronize files from my desktop to my
laptop, unfortunately I chose to make the complete directory offline and now
the system has been trying to synchronized 8.5 gig worth of documents.
Partially through the synchronization I decided that I would try to stop the
synchronization and delete the partnership. Unfortunately sync center does
not allow me to delete the partnership while it’s in the middle of the
synchronization routine. Once I determined that it would not allow me to
delete its partnership during its synchronization I had allowed it to
continue, the synchronization continued for approximately 48 hours but
nothing seemed to be happening and new files did not seem to be being added
to my offline folders.

My question is: How do I delete the partnership while the synchronization
is active or has not completed the full sync of the files that I originally
told it to?

Re: Sync center - deleting an active partnership

Hi there
If you'd like to permanently sever the partnership, find it in Sync Center,
right-click, and click Delete.
If you'd like to stop a sync-in-progress, right click and then select Stop
sync with [partnership].
Hope this helps. Let me know how it works out.

RE: Sync center - deleting an active partnership

You and I have the same problem. I did the same thing, as you described.

After much research, this appears to be just another vista flaw, seems the
only thing that works properly so far is DRM. There is no way around it, nor
is there any way to uninstall this POS 'feature' (so glad I opt'd for
Ultimate). I thought it would be the Ultimate edition, not the ultimate pain
in the butt!

My work around was to move all the files on the server to another folder, it
still syncs but since it is syncing a empty folder, it is very fast.

I hate Vista and feel violated that I actually spent money on DRM software,
what a pile!
