The RPC server is unavailable.

If I attempt to launch an application software(Powerquest Drive Image
7), the following message is displayed:

You do not have sufficient privileges to perform this operation. See
help for more information about security settings.
- - - - - - -

I checked the help file but it did not say anything about "security
settings".

I tried running it as administrator, then the following message:

The RPC server is unavailable.
- - - - - - -

I tried WXP compatibility mode but the same error message were returned.

Please anyone help.

Re: The RPC server is unavailable.

You could try right clicking and choose "Run as Administrator". Might also
try right clicking and choosing properties and then choose, Compatibility
and then check XP mode.

Though you might have a problems with DI 7, as I don't think it's supported
under Vista

Re: The RPC server is unavailable.

Probably it is not compatible with Vista even in WXP compatibility mode.

Re: The RPC server is unavailable.

I would say probably not. I had Ghost version 9.0 and it's not supported and
doesn't appear to work. I thought I could be slick and ghost my Vista
install from XP, but all I got was a dead OS when I did the restore.
