| | two things: show status bar? sent to notepad Two things I used to do in XP. One was I'd find the "send to" folder and put a shortcut to Notepad.exe in there. The other was to turn on status bar at the bottom of all windows so if I were to highlight some files, at the bottom of the window I would see something like, "5 files selected - 280KB". Haven't been able to find this in Vista 64 Ultimate yet. Please help? |

| | Re: two things: show status bar? sent to notepad Hi Scotter, 1) Click start, type 'shell:sendto' and hit enter. Add your notepad shortcut to this folder. 2) Click view/status bar in Windows Explorer. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Scotter" <spam@spam.net> wrote in message news:OQ8pTzLbHHA.4656@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Two things I used to do in XP. > One was I'd find the "send to" folder and put a shortcut to Notepad.exe in > there. > The other was to turn on status bar at the bottom of all windows so if I > were to highlight some files, at the bottom of the window I would see > something like, "5 files selected - 280KB". > > Haven't been able to find this in Vista 64 Ultimate yet. > Please help? |
