| | .NET 1.1 and Vista Ultimate 64 bit I note on the following page, that XP x64 is in the compatibility list, but there is no mention of any Vista x64 version. I assume that it is not compatible (because it displays a message saying so). Can someone confirm officially that it is not compatible with Vista 84 bit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en -- Iron Feliks |

You can pick it up at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...B-A83353618B38. But you also mention it displaying a message. Does that message stop the install or can you still proceed? If you can proceed, then immediately following the install you should apply the SP1 update for .NET 1.1. -- Tom Porterfield |

| | Re: .NET 1.1 and Vista Ultimate 64 bit Hi, Did you get anywhere with this, I have a similar problem . I have Vista Home premium running 64 bit. I tried to install the .Net 1.1 package as its needed by lord of the rings online and it complains that its not compatible with XP64. I'm not running XP64 though. Strange thing is that it installs on my work one albeit with a warning about known issues and told to get the service pack. Any ideas on how to sort my home problem. Should I try and reinstall Vista again? ![]() |
