| | Vista blue screen during boot Hi, Suddenly my Vista install can't boot into normal, safe mode or last good configuration, before reaching the login screen a BSOD flashes and then the system reboots - the BSOD happens too quickly to read any information from it. Booting to the Vista disk and using the repair function failed to repair it, and when I tried it a second time, it could no longer find the install. The machine is dual-boot and runs fine on Linux so I don't believe it's hardware-related. I am definitely going to reinstall so I don't require information on repair, I do however need to know what is causing the crash, so if anyone can advise on where the boot log, system log or crash dump with the relevant information is stored I would greatly appreciate it. |
