Can't install Vista

I just bought an OEM version of Vista Home Premium, and can't get it to
install.

I tried to boot up to the cd - no worky.
Tried to install on top of XP - no worky - wouldn't even begin the install.

I can't even browse the CD (when in XP) - the system doesn't even recognize
that there is a CD in the drive.

What could be wrong?

RE: Can't install Vista

This is what happened to me and don't know if it'll help you or not. When I
went out and bought my copy of Ultimate, it came on a DVD disc. If you got
the same type of disc and you put it in a regular cd drive, it is not going
to recognize it. Just a thought!!

It's not a CD - it's a DVD. If you only have a CD drive - there is your
problem.
