Program uninstallation problems

I've tried to install a few Cyberlink programs using Beta build 5384 (Power
Producer 3/Power Director 4 express). They installed (with the program
compatability dialog box appearing), but don't actually work. When I try to
uniinstall them, I get an error that the program is designed for Win
98/2000/XP only, and the uninstall fails (I don't get a program compatibilty
box). Although Vista is only on a spare partitiion, these non-working
programs are using up disc space.

Is there a safe way to remove them?

By the way, PowerProducer (v2 or 3) will not work on an XP machine running
IE7 Beta either, and this program does not require internet access!

RE: Program uninstallation problems

Is the Vista version you are testing x86 or x64?

I ask this because it could be the uninstall parts of the programs in
question are written in 16-bit, which as everyone knows, will not run in a
64-bit environment.
