| | Error after resuming Windows from hibernation Hi all, I've been having this "runtime error" whenever I resume Windows from hibernation mode. It also prompts me whether to debug it or not. I'm not sure if its a really bad problem, but its just pretty irritating. Is there any solution for this problem? Thanks, John |

| | Re: Error after resuming Windows from hibernation Hi John, It depends on what the source of the problem is. Can you give a specific error message, particularly any files or modules named? Or is it a generic 'runtime error has occured' message? Did it do this from day 1, or did it just start recently? Perhaps after a software install or driver update. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "zhisizhongxin" <zhisizhongxin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B47B7C01-D403-41E6-8CCA-D2095CF4EBAF@microsoft.com... > Hi all, > > I've been having this "runtime error" whenever I resume Windows from > hibernation mode. | | Re: Error after resuming Windows from hibernation Hi, I just realized that it doesn't happen all the time. I tried to get the error message by hibernating and resuming, but I didn't get it. When I do it get it some other time, I'll post a screenshot for you to see. Regarding your last question, I'm really not sure because I bought my laptop from my school, and they had installed stuff like anti-virus on it for the students. But, it did happen the first time I resumed it from hibernation. (if I'm not wrong) "Rick Rogers" wrote: > Hi John, > > It depends on what the source of the problem is. | | Re: Error after resuming Windows from hibernation Hi, Run the event viewer, look for anything that matches up against the time that the system resumes from hibernate. The error message doesn't tell us what is trying to access what, but the event viewer may. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "zhisizhongxin" <zhisizhongxin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0EA0C47A-29A2-460E-AEF8-62D34E7DDB2A@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I've got the error this time. > > It says "The system cannot locate the resource specified" > > Here's the link for the screenshot. > http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y16...ationerror.jpg |
