UAC Poll - did you disable it?

I'm trying to get a feel for whether people are living with UAC or
disabling it out of annoyance. One simple question in this poll:

Thanks

Re: UAC Poll - did you disable it?

For me, it goes a little more into it. When I first installed Vista, it was
off right away. I was installing quite a few programs, and it was a big
annoyance. Now that I'm done with it, it's back on. I'll see an occasional
UAC prompt, but not as much anymore.

At first, I was annoyed beyond belief. Not anymore. UAC does need to be
changed in a few ways, but it's not bad. I'd like to see it more
customizable. On for some tasks, off for others.

Hi John,

Hopefully you took a few seconds and voted in the poll. I'm hoping to
get a good sampling and each vote counts.

Thanks

Re: UAC Poll - did you disable it?

Hi Dustin,

What you did makes sense and I actually considered doing the same. I
opted to live with it and once I got past the initial app load, it was
fine. I'd categorize you as a "Nope, left it on" in the poll since
that was the ultimate state. Hopefully you took a few seconds to cast
a vote.

Thanks
Al

You made a mistake in not having a choice where you say you turn it on
and off. That's what I do.

Okay, since more than one person has mentioned it, I've added a third
option to the poll.

Re: UAC Poll - did you disable it?

Yes, I voted and put the "left it on" choice. Since it's on right now!
