Re: Vista Speech Recognition OFF

Graham,
Say 'Stop Listening' or Click on Microphone in large icon (default at top of
screen) (actually puts it to sleep if running on AC power)

Right click on small microphone icon in lower right select 'off'

RE: Vista Speech Recognition OFF

Many thanks for that, Glenn!
Speech Recognition at start-up was really annoying me -- taking so long
every time waiting for it to "sleep" before being able to switch it off.
It was getting very tiresome.

Your reply did the trick.
Thanks again.

Hmm. An educated guess: Disabling Speech Recognition the way I described
probably works on a per-user basis. The other user will probably need to
disable SR using the steps I described earlier while under his/her own
login.

I personally have no way of testing this myself, since I'm the only user on
my PC (running Vista Ultimate).
