| | Vista screen savers do not work For those of you that have discovered that your screen saver doesn't launch on laptops running Vista Home Basic no matter what you do read further. I purchased a USB microsoft mouse to use on my laptop. I am not a big fan of touch pads. Anyway after some time I noticed that the screen saver stopped working. Unplugging the USB mouse solved the mystery. Seems strange since it is a Microsoft mouse, but that is what I found. Hopefully, some vista developers are reading these posts and will issue a correction for this problem. |

| | Re: Vista screen savers do not work Wayne, I have all of the corrections from Microsoft installed so my laptop is current on patches. Unfortunately, the problem has not been corrected for me. I have a Compaq Presario V6000T, 1 Gig ram, 60 gig hard drive, Core Duo processor, running on Vista Home Basic. Do you know which correction from Microsoft took care of the problem?
