Vista - Sp1 next week

One of the hp tech's just told me that sp1 will be out next week? Has
any one else heard that??

Highly unlikely... SP1 is not slated for release until the fall. Perhaps the
beta for SP1 starts next week, but I would be surprised if SP1 is released
next week. I haven't had my ear to the ground on this, so I may be wrong...

I read where there will be,starting in April, a download library site for
the Vista updates. Where you can download and save the updates to disk.

That is false. The beta just started. SP1 will not be released until the
second half of 2007. Which could mean Dec 31st for all anyone knows.

No. I would say no sooner than Q4 2007 or maybe even Q1 2008.
