Plug in second hard drive?

I have an attachment that allows me to plug another hard drive into the USB
port. If If I do this with my old laptop hard drive, which has XP, will my
new computer with VISTA read it and/or make a dual boot for it? Or will it
try to make me reformat the old hard drive? I have old programs that won't
run with VISTA, & thought this would be a good solution.

See my response to the other thread that you posted this same question in.

By the by, for new questions you should create a new thread, not tag into an
old one. Doing so will make it more likely that someone will read and
respond to it.

Re: Plug in second hard drive?

thanks. I'm new to this site & couldn't find the prompt to post a new
question at first, so tagged on to the other until I figured it out.
