| | Microsoft Vista Firewall question Hi Is there a way to configure a Windows Firewall rule that will cause a pop up asking the user to choose to allow or block the connection? Zonealarm provides such a feature and I have found it useful to allow certain programs access only when I need them to access the net v/s having them access the net anytime e.g. for program updates etc. Can I do this in the Windows Vista Firewall? Thanks Bob |

You can cause a program to run in response to events in Event Viewer, which can then popup an appropriate alert. -- Jon |
