| | Re: Vista internet connection INSANITY - help!! Some routers are not compatible with Vista. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932134/en-us http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/usi...d/default.mspx In your case I think the first link applies. As someone else suggested one workaround that sometimes works is to use a static IP address for the Vista computer. Another thing that may help is to turn off uPnP on the router. This forces Vista not to use this feature. You may need to upgrade your router to take full advantage of the enhanced networking features in Vista. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca "jtagrl35" <jtagrl30@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:jtagrl35.2oi0x4@no-mx.tabletquestions.com... > > PLEASE HELP!! > My husband (a Mac user) recently purchased this HP Pavilliondv6000 > notebook for me, fully loaded with the new Vista system.
