Media Center crashes...

I recently upgraded my 2 computers (desktop & laptop) to Vista Home Premium,
& everything works fine except that I can't watch videos from the My Videos
folder through Media Center because it crashes Media Center (not the whole
computer). This happened on my desktop before I upgraded (I just had Windows
MCE 2005 on it), but I don't know that I ever tried it on my laptop before
the upgrade. Either way, it is happening now, & I was wondering if anyone
knew why it's doing it & how I can fix it?
Thanks!

Re: Media Center crashes...

OK - where did you get QuickTimeSource.dll from? That doesn't look like a
Microsoft product/file. What does it say in the file properties for that
file? Is there an update available? Failing that, does uninstalling what
installed it fix you up?

Re: Media Center crashes...

I had no idea that file existed, but when I searched for it, it said it was
an application extender for Muvee AutoProducer -- I think that came with my
computer, but I've never even used it. I uninstalled that entire program, &
that fixed my problem!
Thanks a lot!
