| | Vista Upgrade with no games...no screensavers...no sound Hello I have upgraded from XP to Vista but I have no games and no screensavers. I had no sound but managed to get a Realtek driver to work. Anyone got any ideas...any at all. Vista won't give an option to install extra features... Cheers |

| | Re: Vista Upgrade with no games...no screensavers...no sound Its a Pentium dual core processor with 1 GB RAM It a new system and I ran the upgrade advisor before I upgraded. It's a desktop PC. Nvidia card I have run all of the updates. The games folder is there...it just empty. The same with the screensavers. The menu drops down when it supposed to, there are just no screensavers listed. Sound...I have to reinstall the driver everytime I restart the machine. Vista wants to run digital sound I have to tell it to use analogue speakers. Its a new Packard Bell PC with a free upgrade to Vista. Vista looks good but does not work very well. Im tempted to go back to XP. To install them, click the Start button , click Control Panel, click Programs, and then click Turn Windows features on or off. In the Windows Features dialog box, select the Games check box, and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. |
