Vista - Vista Defender WSUS and Proxy Authentication

I have a vista client behind a ISA 2000 proxy server running windows
defender.
The proxy server needs authentication for outgoing requests. I also have
WSUS on the network witch stores file locally.
WSUS updates are synchronizing just fine, but I noticed that my vista
machine has not updated for some time, I assume since I requested
authentication for outgoing requests. Both windows update and windows
defender have not been updated

Any help on what to do here? I really don't want to remove authentication
for outgoing requests

OK salved my problem,

Iset proxycfg to direct or should I say in vista netsh winhttp proxy to
direct. this solved the problem
