Problems w/shutdown and standby

Wondering if anyone is seeing something similar. I have a Lenovo T60P with
Vista Ultimate and I have a number of problems where Vista doesn't want to
go into standby. It blanks the screen (turns off the monitor) but many
times it just sits there forever until I force power the machine down.
I've also seen it where it takes 5 minutes or so to finally shutdown.

The laptop is equipped with an Intel 3945ABG internal wireless mini-pci.
I've checked to make sure that I have the latest drivers.

There used to be a power troubleshooter for troubleshooting shutdown and
standby/hibernation problems. Does anyone know if that exists yet for
Vista?

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Problems w/shutdown and standby

Dear Joe

I haven't got the answer, just the same problem on my new Sony Vaio VGN-FE
laptop.

Symptoms
Boots, works fast. Then when after it has a 'Sleep', everything runs slowly
until I restart.

Regards Guy

Re: Problems w/shutdown and standby

Slow I could deal with. Problems shutting down or standby is nasty.
