Try cleaning it with some warm water and mild soap...rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth wiping from center to edge not in circles. Sometimes you can copy a disk and install successfully from the copy. Also you could try installing from the hard drive...create a folder on your desktop and copy the complete contents of both disks into it...begin with disk one and when you paste the contents of disk two...click yes to "Do you wish to replace". Now open the folder and click...Setup.exe. BTW...before installing...create a restore point, disconnect from the net, disable your virus scanner and close all open programs. If you have an HP OfficeJet turn it off. These and other install tips are in a readme file on disk one. ============================ >snipped< -- John Inzer MS Picture It! - Digital Image MVP Digital Image Highlights and FAQs http://tinyurl.com/aczzp Notice This is not tech support I am a volunteer Solutions that work for me may not work for you Proceed at your own risk |

| Guest | Re:*more* Multi Disc Program Installation Problems Hi. I have a question along this same line, with a twist. I recognize the possibility of dirty or damaged discs but here's what my problem is. I have 2 2-disc games that I am trying to install. I recently had an upgraded video card and more RAM installed in my computer, running XP. All of that appears to be fine. Because of other issues, the tech did a clean install of XP for me. Now I'm trying to load these two games and, in both cases, my computer will not recognize disc#2. Disc#1 seems to be fine. I should mention that one of these two games is older and has been functioning well on my pc for 2 years. I'm not very computer savvy, but it's hard to imagine that BOTH games would have the same problem with disc#2. Could it be a setting of some kind that I'm not aware of? -- Bob "John Inzer" wrote: > After you install DIS2006... > there's an update: > > MS Digital Image 2006 > *Vista Compatibility* Update > http://tinyurl.com/w5u58 > > -- > John Inzer > MS Picture It! - > Digital Image MVP > > Digital Image > Highlights and FAQs > http://tinyurl.com/aczzp > > Notice > This is not tech support > I am a volunteer > > Solutions that work for > me may not work for you > > Proceed at your own risk > ===================== > > > Rich wrote: > >> Surprisingly the discs are in near perfect condition and work > >> properly when inserted under the typical installation.
