(I already tried updating) The package keeps talking about OPK and when I go to the site it asks about my organization.(I don't have one) Did I buy the wrong thing? I need help!!! the product description is: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit English 1pk OEI DVD If I did buy the right package how do I go along installing it? Do I erase everything then install? |

By design, OEM CDs cannot perform upgrades; they are specifically designed to be installed only onto clean (empty) partitions. -- Bruce Chambers Help us help you: http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Benjamin Franklin Many people would rather die than think; in fact, most do. -Bertrand Russell |

| | Re: OEM system builder pack I don't think you need to worry about OPK. I bought an OEM version of Vista 64, which mentioned something about OPK. But I didnt need it and just charged ahead with the install with no problems. I think the OPK is for things like customized startup screens, etc. You will need to clean install, as Bruce says. But if you have a partition or drive, you won't need to erase what you've already got (but should back up anyway).
