| | Printer not establishing connection Here is the issue. I just purchased a brand new HP dv6338se laptop. I also purchased a brand new Lexmark X8350 all-in-1. I connected the all-in-1 first to my already established desktop running XP pro. I connected the printer via USB cable. The printer prints a test page perfectly from the XP desktop. My laptop is connected to my home network via wireless. I have been attempting to connect to the shared printer on the XP desktop. This has failed to work. I ahve tried the following solutions: I have tried every solution found on the internet and still get a communication error with the printer. I do not know what else to do other then to return the printer and get a new one. Does anyone have any other solutions to this issue? I would appreciate it. Thanks, Clay |

| | RE: Printer not establishing connection Just go into Vista Networking, and click on "Add Network Device"nd will find XPs printer, and load the drivers. I presume you have file sharing, etc ON, and password protect OFF "Clay Beyer" wrote: > Here is the issue. > > I just purchased a brand new HP dv6338se laptop. | | Re: Printer not establishing connection Yeah, you'ld think it be that easy, but alas, it is not. I do not believe there is a solution to this problem yet. This is an oversight on Microsoft, I am certain of it. Hopefully there will be a SP soon to fix the issue.
