URL Redirect Problem

I just got a new Dell notebook with Windows Vista, and I'm having a puzzling
problem. I have a domain, www.mainegospel.com which is redirected to where
tha actual pages are located at mysite.verizon.net/mainegospel. In Vista,
when I type www.mainegospel.com into a browser, be it IE7, Firefox, or Opera,
I am unable to get directed to the website. My other computer, an HP desktop
running XP, does the redirect just at always, as does the computer at work
running 2000. Is there some setting in Vista that will allow this redirected
website to be displayed?

Re: URL Redirect Problem

I am able to go to your page via both URLs.

Maybe your firewall is blocking it???

Re: URL Redirect Problem

Hello Dave,

Also have no problem to reach it. How is your ip configured from the Vista?
Pointing to a wrong DNS server that do no forwarding?

Best regards

Re: URL Redirect Problem

It was the McAfee suite that came with the computer. I could not find a
setting on it that was preventing the redirects. I now have replaced the
McAfee program with Norton Internet Security 2007 and the problem has been
resolved.
