Re: how do you turn off firewall

Control Panel | Windows Firewall | Advanced Settings | Off.

That should turn it off on all interfaces, as well. Windows may throw up a
complaint, but you can change that in the Control Panel | Security Center |
left pane where it says "Change the way Security Center alerts me".

Re: how do you turn off firewall

Advanced settings: Start | Accessories | run: wf.msc. Windows Firewall with
Advanced Security. All your options are in there.

ok cool. it had an error inside windows firewall when i did this because i
stopped the service a while ago. it said in windows firewall in the right
window pane it had a stop error because the service is stopped. so it's all
cool i spose. as long as it is totally off.

and the reason for wanting no software firewall is cus i can't do
filesharing at all for some reason and want to disable all possible
conflicts specially when i don't need a software firewall.
