Desktop kinda got erased...

On Vista at the moment.
This may sound dumb but i kinda deleted the main desktop icon from
'documents'. i can go around by going through start menu and accessing the
documents and then simply making my way back to the desktop through there BUT
it comes up with an error message saying that the desktop is not where its
supposed to be or that it just doesn't exist.
i cnt seem to recreate another desktop icon and its not that i can't reach
files due to this dumbness of deletion, but it does hinder my working
speeds...after the learning how to permenenantly delete with the SHIFT+DEL, i
thought i could be cocky and delete things without fuss and memory being
wasted, but instead this problem ^^^^^ occured...please could anyone feedback
on this.
Cheers
Zak

There is no desktop icon under documents. But anyway, that's probably
irrelevant since you said you have no desktop.

I wonder if a repair install would help?

BTW, are you the same PyrO who is on Planetamd64?

Re: Desktop kinda got erased...

If you mean the icon that takes you to the Desktop, there is a spare copy in
the
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
folder.

Right click the Show Desktop icon and select Copy. clcik the icon to go to
the desktop and right click Paste it there. You can then drag it into the
Quick Launch toolbar or wherever you wish to place it.
