| | Lifecam NX 6000 voice/video sync with Vista Hello, Don't know if this is the correct place to post this, if not please advise. When recording a video using the NX 6000 webcam, and playing it back in Windows Media Player, the voice lags behind the video by about a second or two. The sync looks fine in the recorder before I save it to file (or live) but when playing it back, the voice lags. Would anyone know if there is a fix for this or is this a problem with hardware? I have a Dell Inspiron E 1705 and a Sigma Tec High Definiton CODEC. Thank you for any help. Jerry |

| | Re: Lifecam NX 6000 voice/video sync with Vista It is the driver for the audio card. Go into the device properties, select playback devices and disable all enhancements. This should fix the issue. | | Re: Lifecam NX 6000 voice/video sync with Vista Hi Michael, Thank you very much for trying to solve my problem. Here is what I did. I opened the Playback/Recording devices window by right clicking on the speaker icon found on the bottom right of my task bar. I then put a check mark to disable all enhancements in the Speaker/Headphone properties. I viewed a saved video that I just made after that box was checked and there isn't any difference. The sound still lags behind the video. It is a progressive thing. The longer the video, the further behind the audio trails. Thanks again for your help. You've given me insite to the inner workings of my system. | | Re: Lifecam NX 6000 voice/video sync with Vista Just an update. After returning the first camera and receiving a replacement, the problem still exists. I have found a work around, at least when I save a video to my hard drive. Don't know how well this would work when using Messenger. Anyway, I now use an independent, plug in microphone, instead of using the mic that's built into the webcam. Works great so far.
