| | Time Sync problem Upon installing Vista (Home Premium - 'clean install') I began getting the error message depicted in the screen-shot .jpg shown here: https://rtc2.one.microsoft.com/Media...57%7D/time.jpg I tried resolving the issue using the support live chat. That was a mistake and turned into a big joke. How do I go about getting my computer's clock accuracy (stratum) to be equal to, or greater than, the host's? Any help is appreciated. |

| | Re: Time Sync problem Try using the pull down and selecting from the different time servers available. I get this message from time to time and usually if I just try 2 or 3 different time servers one of them will connect and sync the clock. This is an annoyance and one I'd wish they would fix. Good luck. | | Re: Time Sync problem Your firewall may be blocking port 123 (Network Time Protocol Port.) Allow the port access. | | Re: Time Sync problem I think this is usually caused when you have your clock set to far off to begin with. Check the date, time, am-pm, and time-zone to make sure you are at least close to being correct. | | Re: Time Sync problem I got it too and don't know the cause but I switched the timeserver to pool.ntp.org and it works fine. | | Re: Time Sync problem I went through the list of time sources and got the IP addresses for each. I typed each into the Server: box and each connected just fine. Once I did that for the entire list the server names now work too. Go figure??
