    GOTOMYPC workaround

GOTOMYPC does not support Vista as yet but below is a workaround that worked
for me on beta 2 5384.

Symptom - When attaching to your host PC the gotomypc viewer downloads and
starts to run but disappears immediately after "Starting Viewer" stage. It
appears the viewer is running but you can not see it.

Work-around - Before loading viewer, open task manager an be on the lookout
for g2viewer.exe. When it appears, right click on it and set the prioriy to
above normal. The viewer will magically re-appear. The trick is that you
need to reset the priority BEFORE the enter password dialog appears/times
out. After that it appears to work quite happily.

    Hope this helps

Do you have a Vista PC set as one of your host PC's?
I ahve several hosts running XP, but when I try to log onto the Vista
machine, the graphical distortion of the viewer make it useless. I haven't
tried turning Aero off could that be the problem?

Well its worth a try even to only rule it out as a problem.

set to classic theme (not Aero) and now gotomypc works fine

The host is XP, the client is Vista. So I can't offer you any ideas there -
sorry But you may want to run the host app as admin or with higher
permissions to see if Vista treats it differently...just a thought
