Where is gone my Shut Down button?

I have no more my shut down button on my Start menu and if i try to shut
down the system i get this message:

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administrator"

Notice i'm administrator of my PC.

I also tried to restore a system backup point but nothing, i stil have not
the power button, and if i set Classic View of the start menu i have not the
voice "Shut Down..."

Is there a way to restore this or i have to FORMAT!?!?

In Windows Vista there's an useful guide, please USE IT!
Open the start menu -> click on Help and Support -> type: "shut down"

Maybe we should respond to each and every question, Click on Help and
Support. Or Google and you will find your answer!

You are one smart cookie Bill. Suggesting Google and all. I've blocked ya
just in case you think it's a good answer and start replying to all the
questions that way.

Part of the Windoze experience. A shutdown under a "Start" menu. :-)

Once Vista has taken over your computer it does not want to ever have to
stop running. How else can it serve its role in this world - sending out
spam across the Internet?

Microsoft just makes you think you can administer your own PC. Actually it
is now controlled by Microsoft.

Only a toy operating system needs to include a restore capability. Which,
btw, has been reported by another poster to suck up a steady 1GB of hard
drive space per day. Further proof that Microsoft controls your system, not
you.

Love and Kisses,
Doris

My shut down, restart, hibernate and sleep options have also
disappeared. I've been using Vista for a month and they were there,
but now they have disappeared! It's quite weird. I suspect it might be
a virus.

So.... Is there any way to make that damn button reapear? I got the same
problem and i can tell you that it really sucks. I have to Log Off and then
press restart each time. Not very usefull.
