Windows Media Center Store Update Manager Constantly Crashing

For two weeks now, every time that I use Windows Vista Ultimate, after 10 to
20 minutes of use, I keep getting an error window saying "Windows Media
Center Store Update Manager has stopped working and was closed". as yet, I
cannot get any information from Microsoft concerning this issue. Anybody
have some info on this?

What information do you have in the Problem Reports and Solutions center for
that error?

Re: Windows Media Center Store Update Manager Constantly Crashing

Is the file 'GOEC62~1.DLL' on your system? That should be part of the
Google Toolbar, I believe. If you temporarily disable or remove the Google
Toolbar, does the Update Manager stop crashing? It should be easy to
reinstall that toolbar once you've tested that.

Re: Windows Media Center Store Update Manager Constantly Crashing

What are the details in the Problem Reports and Solutions center for your
crash:
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#bucket
? Crashes that seem similar may not be, which is why that information is
critical. =)

Re: Windows Media Center Store Update Manager Constantly Crashing

Quick question: is WMP working correctly on this system? I imagine it would
be fine, but knowing that detail could shed further light. (I can
potentially deduce that over time, but it's a lot quicker to just ask.)
