| | So I whacked a GeForce FX5500 video card in so see if "Vista Experience" base score would improve but primarily so GET better performance. My baseline score went from 2.0 (Video for Aero / Windows performance) to 3.6 BUT better, for a 9yo box thats gone thru : WIN3.1/WIN95/WIN98/WIN98SE/WIN2000/WINXPPro with RAM upgraded and now video card and a USB2 port, now that I have solved my netwoking issue with my wifes XPPro PC (a simple firewall adjustment to OneCare firewalling!)...I can say... ....this thing flies pretty damn well! Vista or XP? NO CONTEST... VISTA Rgds and tks to all here that provided assistance and guidance on my networking issues! Much Appreciated Rgds Rod |
