system restore (automatic daily restore points)

Hello everyone!

I recently posted to this group regarding the fact that I felt my
system was not automaticaly creating restore points on a daily basis.

I have been observing this after following some advice and reviewing
some links to info surrounding how this works.

Basically my system is not creating restore points every day or every
24 hours of PC use as it is supposed to be doing. I am quite positive
about this.

Does anyone know why this may be? I can manually create points, points
are created if i install/uninstall software and the system creates a
restore point when automaticaly backing up via scheduled back-ups etc,
alas there are no daily restore points.

Help! - alanbriggs

My Vista pc was not doing the backups either. I found that my pc was
stopping the hard drive after two hours (also dropping my internet
connection), I changed this setting and the backups are working every day.

Re: system restore (automatic daily restore points)

Since March 31, I have had only 2 system restore points created and they
were approximately 30 hours apart on the 7th and 8th. The other 8 restore
points are the result of installs from Windows Update.
