Vista thinks it is blank or is writable when it isnt. How do i shut this feature off or get into my cdrom drive. As a work around i have been copying the contacts remotely to from another machine. |

| | Re: any CD in my drive wants to burn..... I am a trouble shooter for our Computer Club. I have had a couple of instances when setting up a Dell computer. When an installation CD was placed in the drive carrier and closed. Nothing. If one clicked on the drive in Windows Explorer, the drive would kick open stating that the disc wasn't formatted. Dell replaced both following a phone call.
