| | Re: Top 10 Vista Hacks > 1. improve stability by 500% by using the format C: command and installing > XP... Although this is true now.. you have to understand that vista code has been rewritten.... the instability you see now is because vista was introduced to a world made for XP... however give it a little time, new hardware and a service pack... and you will see that vista is better... the reason for this is not apparent... but it will be apparent once new applications will start coming out that will be made to take advantage of what vista has to offer. As a technonaut, I must ride the wave of change... and see where it will lead us. If everything fails.. XP will be there... its not going anywhere :-) "Per" <no@tak.dk> wrote in message news:CqCdneVkdsznM7nbRVnysQA@giganews.com... > 1. improve stability by 500% by using the format C: command and installing > XP... |

A hack is when you have to use workarounds and other means because there is no simple setting within the OS to change something. But I guess "Top 10 Vista Configuration Settings" doesn't sound as impressive, even if it is more accurate (though it's certainly not my top 10). -- Tom Porterfield |

Then it would seem that Vista is better left off computers until this happens so that most people don't have issues. -- Leythos spam999free@rrohio.com (remove 999 for proper email address) |

XP will be there... its not going anywhere OEM XP is being cut off. This happened just after a number of system builders began offering XP as an option again. Hmmmmmm |

| | Re: Top 10 Vista Hacks OEM Vista has downgrade rights to XP. Dell are even offering to enterprise customers the option of buying a vista license with an XP image factory installed. Buy Vista now, install XP until you're ready to deploy Vista.
