Which "on close lid" settings to change??

Windows has power settings at "Control Panel > Hardware and SOund > Power
Options > System Settings" for setting the "when i close the lid" action. I
set this to "Sleep".

Windows also has a "Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options >
Edit Plan Settings" advanced power settings screen where I can set "on lid
close" actions. The "power plan" that I have enabled sets "on lid close" to
"do nothing".

So, on one screen, it's set to "Sleep" and on the other screen, it's set to
"Do nothing". What's going to happen? Why have power plans and customized
settings if those settings are overriden by settings elsewhere?

Windows Vista needs to do a lot to improve usability of settings. For each
feature, there needs to be only ONE place to set settings. NOT various
different places....

SO, I want the system to sleep on close lid. Where do I set that option so
it really works?
