Yes, but is he talking about Favorites? Or is he talking about the list of
sites he's visited. Sometimes they'll show up when you start to type a new
address into the address bar (autocomplete, or whatever the feature is
called).
I think there are some sites he's been to that he doesn't want to show up in
the address bar.

If referencing Favorites and Vista is installed on the C:\ drive, the
default location is:
C:\Users\{your logon name}\Favorites
