Vista & Floppy Drive Letter

Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus DRAGON 2 motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 3.20 GHZ HT
2×1024MB pc3200 PNY RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium
PNY GeForce 7800 GS 8x AGP, 256MB (101.41 ForceWare)
PCI Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic
LG Flatron L1920P lcd monitor

Hey guys I've discovered a weird bug. After upgrading my pc from Windows XP
SP2 to Vista Home Premium, my floppy drive letter changed to (B for some
reason. I uninstalled the floppy disk controller and reinistalled it to get
the letter back to (A. The funny thing is at random when playing the game
S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the letter reverts back to (B. Is this a known Vista bug
or something? I know how to get it to go back to (A, but it's just weird
how it keeps switching back. Anyone with any ideas on how to make it stay at
(A for good?

Re: Vista & Floppy Drive Letter

Its not a bug at all. Your computer may have something that is taking up
the A: letter. To check, click Start orb > right click computer, select
manage > click Disk Management on the right > find the device in
question and right click it > click Change Drive Letter

I checked and there is nothing using the A: letter.
