Vista - Power and Sleep Settings

I purchased a computer about 2 months ago with Windows Vista Home Premium
installed and all seemed OK. However I have noticed recently that the Sleep
function no longer works. I have gone into Power Options to check and it is
set to "Balanced", the default, with "Turn off display" to be 20 mins and
"Put computer to sleep" to be 1 hour. This does not seem to be working. I
know, when I first used the computer, that both of these worked but am not
certain about the times.
I would be greatful for any suggestions as to how I can get this function
working again.

I have the same problem. It seems to have something to do with plugging
things into the USB ports because when I remove it (more specifically a
webcam), power management starts to work again. I've contacted the maker of
the webcam (Logitech) but they blame vista.

Basically, I don't have an answer to your problem, I need help too.
