Why does Limwire kill my internet connection?

    Why does Limwire kill my internet connection?

    I download the latest limewire 4.12.11. It opens fine but every time to use
    it my internet connection shuts off. No warning or reasoning given. Please
    tell me why. Thanks!

    limewire is probably overloading the connection with too many opened
    ports...

    what kind of modem or router do you have?

    it's a cable modem. supposed to be very fast for cable.
